Your Health is My Priority

Entering the gym, surrounded by unfamiliar equipment and uncertain about where to begin your lifting journey, can be a daunting experience. At HerStrength, I am dedicated to meeting you at your current level, whether in your gym or at home, offering a convenient and personalized experience. My mission is to empower women through education and guidance, fostering long-term success in fitness and wellness.

My Lifting Journey

I started my fitness journey at 16, like many others, with the goal of losing weight. But after weeks of long treadmill sessions and little progress, I realized something important: the women I admired weren’t just physically strong—they were mentally tough, too. That realization led me to discover my passion for weight training. I vividly remember the intimidation I felt stepping into the weight room, unsure of where to begin. Since then, I’ve competed in three powerlifting competitions and made strength and health my top priorities. Through HerStrength, my mission is to offer women the guidance I wish I had from the start—empowering them to build strength, confidence, and resilience both inside and out as they embark on their fitness journey.

Why train for strength?

Bone Density

The National Library of Medicine indicates that resistance training is effective in enhancing bone density among osteoporotic patients. As we age, particularly women, weight training becomes increasingly vital for maintaining bone health.

Aesthetics

Achieving the desired "hour" shape involves more than just cardio; it requires a thoughtful combination of building muscle and losing visceral fat. Additionally, having more muscle allows for a greater fat capacity while still maintaining a pleasing aesthetic.

Mental Health

Weight training has demonstrated efficacy in alleviating symptoms of depression and enhancing sleep quality. In addition to its biochemical advantages, the increase in strength and muscle mass often contributes to improved self-confidence, particularly among women.
